The gate motor is a DTS500. When I press the button on the remote, the gate beeps three times but does not open.
According to the manual, it says its possibly caused by a faulty reed switch.
I've tested the open and close position reed switches, these work as expected. The manual says bridging the reed switch wires is a temporary solution, so I bridged the two brown wires - this did not solve the problem, I then bridged the two white wires - problem still not solved. Is there another reed switch somewhere else?
What are the two green wires for?
What else could be causing this problem?
The reed switch is the green wires bridge out the green wires and see if motor then works.
3 beeps - can also be the battery. What is the battery voltage and also the battery voltage under load?
I bridged the green wires and now the gate opens and closes. Looks like it is the reed switch then.
The battery voltage is still fine.
Where can I get a replacement reed switch?
